Built by people who have run the paperwork

Plums ERP is business management software for UAE trading, distribution and project businesses. We build for the way trade actually happens here — quotations revised by phone, deliveries split across stores, cheques collected on account, VAT due at the end of the period.

Why it exists

The gap between a spreadsheet and an ERP

Most growing trading businesses end up with the same shape: a stock sheet someone maintains by hand, a sales register in Excel, and an accounting package that only the accounts team ever logs into. Each one is fine on its own. Together they guarantee that nobody can answer a simple question — how much of this product is in which store, and what has that customer actually been invoiced?

Plums ERP was built to close that gap without demanding a year-long enterprise rollout. One database, one document trail, one set of numbers — configured to the process a business already follows, instead of forcing a new process on the team.

  • Every document links to the one before it
  • Every number traces back to a source document
  • Every user sees only what their role allows

What we believe

Six opinions that shape the product

These are the decisions we keep coming back to whenever we add something new.

One system of record

If two places store the same fact, one of them is wrong. Customer balance, stock on hand and VAT liability are each calculated once, from the transactions that caused them.

Configure, do not customise

Currencies, VAT groups, numbering formats, stores and approval rules are settings, not bespoke code. That is why upgrades do not break your setup — and why go-live is measured in days.

The numbers must reconcile

Every finance report reads from posted ledger entries generated by the documents themselves. If a report and a document disagree, that is a bug — not something to explain away at month-end.

Local rules are not edge cases

VAT 201 boxes, 15-digit TRNs, emirate-based addresses without ZIP codes, post-dated cheques, corporate tax registration: this is the main road for our customers, so it is the main road in the product.

Dense screens, not pretty ones

People who use a system all day want rows on screen: filters, a column chooser, totals, keyboard-friendly forms. Big empty cards look nice in a brochure and waste an afternoon.

Direct support

When you raise something, you are talking to the people who build the system — not a tier-one script. That is also how the product improves: the roadmap is written by the businesses using it.

Who it is for

Businesses that move goods and raise invoices

If your day involves purchase orders, deliveries, multiple stores and customers on account, the shape of the system will feel familiar.

  • Importers, exporters and general trading companies
  • Distributors and wholesale suppliers
  • FMCG and food trading businesses
  • Building materials and industrial supply
  • Project suppliers and contractors' procurement
  • Sales organisations with field teams and credit accounts
How an implementation runs

From first call to go live

1

Discovery

A short call on your companies, stores, users, document formats and reporting needs. You see a tailored demo.

2

Configure & migrate

Master data, numbering, users and roles are set up. Customers, suppliers, products and opening balances are imported and checked.

3

Train

Role-based sessions — sales, stores, purchase and accounts each learn only what they need, on your own data.

4

Go live & support

You start raising real documents. We stay close through the first closing cycle, then keep tuning as volumes grow.

Roadmap

What we are working on next

In progress and planned

  • UAE e-invoicing readiness — reference data, a readiness checker and a PINT AE / UBL document builder, ahead of the phased mandate
  • Deeper reporting — more comparative and period-on-period analysis across sales, purchase and finance
  • Customer-facing documents — more formats and templates for the paperwork customers ask for
  • Mobile-friendly field screens — for sales and delivery teams away from a desk

Items here are work in progress, not committed deliverables. If something on this list is essential to you, raise it during discovery — customer requirements set the order.
